Centre for the Visually Impaired
The mission of the Centre for the Visually Impaired is a social a pastoral service provided since 1989 with the purpose to extend the possibilities of the people with visual handicap to gain information primarily in the field of Christianity, and not only means of audio, electronic or Braille documents of our library, but also through human communication.
Our services:
The library provides and offers in format of CDs or tapes various Christian and ecumenical magazines, Bible in Czech ecumenical translation, belles-lettres both for adults and children and music records.
The registered clients also can download the magazines and book titles from our “audio library” in electronical form. www.zvukovaknihovna.cz.
The using of audio and electronical library is free of charge.
In Braille we provide Moravian Daily Texts with short reflections (Moravian Church), magazine for children Steps and particular Bible Books.
In enlarged script we offer Moravian Daily Texts with short reflections (Moravian Church).
We organize for our clients weekend-gatherings with spiritual, cultural and educational program and whole-week gatherings with touristic visit and trips.
